Bristol has been selected as one of 12 candidate host cities that make up England’s 2018 World Cup bid. If England’s bid is successful, Bristol can expect to host up to five games as part of the FIFA 2018 World Cup.
Bristol being a part of England’s bid will offer the city a fantastic opportunity to be seen as one that can rival the country's most famous sporting cities.

Bristol is a vibrant and creative city, boasting major cultural venues, world-class accommodation, fantastic open spaces and a new £500million shopping and entertainment quarter.
The city is also well connected. It is served by two motorways, an international airport and excellent rail links, with expansion plans to link over 400 routes across the UK and Europe by 2018.
The hosts of the 2018 World Cup will be announced by FIFA on 2 December 2010. Want to get behind the bid? Register your support for England’s 2018 World cup bid here.
